People we’ve worked with
David, Glenn, and Tavis
Dan helped me frame questions in ways that will help me move my work forward in a more clever and compelling manner.
“That's a good way to put it” came up more than once. As a coach and mentor sitting on the other side of the table, I deeply enjoyed Dan's approach, and my takeaways will make my work and my leadership better.
David Wertheimer, AI/ML Product Lead at Pantastic
My reaction to the term "thought partner" is usually to throw up in my mouth a bit, but Dan is legit amazing at it.
Dan was quick to grok our biz & challenges, clear-eyed about what matters, and yes-anded to a few new product ideas I'm still pumped about. Go sign up!
Glenn Poppe
I had the pleasure to speak with Dan about Looria.com.
Dan has deep knowledge about internet products and how they succeed or fail. He grasped our product instantly and came up with several gigabrain strategies that address key problems we face. Highly recommended!
Tavis Lochhead, co-founder of Looria.com

Founder and Head of Strategy/Research at The Difference Engine, helping brands and business leaders make big decisions.
Sometimes, you need someone to give you permission to stop doing something you don't like doing anyway - to simply say, obviously you hate that, that's no good, stop spending time on it.
And to bear witness when you literally delete it from the plan.
Sometimes you need someone to take that kernel of an idea and offer a bunch of really constructive, actionable, "what ifs" that start to make the kernel actually pop into something delicious. And to not judge you when you take a metaphor slightly too far.
Sometimes you need someone to ask you, "what if you, like, did a little less?" but in a way that doesn't immediately make you feel guilty for secretly wanting to do less - in a way that makes you think it's actually possible to delegate and collaborate in new ways, that you don't have to go it entirely alone.
Sometimes you need someone who gets it, asks incisive and useful questions, is clearly and undeniably on your side, and who seems to get excited about your ideas in a way that gets YOU excited about your ideas.
Dan did all that in an hour long call to which all I brought was a half-assed deck of ideas and some reasons why they might not suck.
He helped me eliminate the dross, embrace the “have-tos” and really clarify and visualize the stuff I've been secretly excited for but not quite clear how to get it off the ground.
And so maybe the most important thing that happened in that hour was this: he left me with the outlines of a real plan. Not just endorsed ideas and a bit of a brainstorm, but a way to start making and testing and learning - a legible roadmap for the near future.
